Since I'm starting this blog in my second trimester, I'm just going to do one post for the first one.
We were blessed and were able to get an ultrasound at 6w3d. We were able to see a little flicker of a heartbeat. It was absolutely breathtaking.
We were excited to tell family and friends, but we wanted to be on the cautious side. I wanted to wait until 12 weeks, but at our (almost) 9 week ultrasound I thought "I want to tell people and if I don't now, it's like I'm waiting for something bad to happen." Thankfully, Dan agreed! We told our family and friends on Easter (March 30th) with this picture:
Dan called it "the Easter Baby." Haha.
And this is my favorite picture of our little one:
Other than the usual fatigue and nausea, my first trimester was pretty uneventful. Thank God! I was going into it almost expecting the worst... and other than losing weight because food is gross (haha), it was without surprises!
This last picture is a belly comparison. Week 4 and week 12.
